Reinforce: confidence numbers are machine-read interfaces between teams and must be right in real time

October 30, 2026 at 7:45 PMoperationalmedium

Situation

At the 10/27 Engineering Weekly Sync (Stratum shown at 30 percent confidence on launch day) and in the Wolford 1:1, Peter reinforced that confidence numbers are no longer read only by humans - agents generate reports, go-to-market triggers and automatic meetings from them - so they must be kept right in real time. He picks on a reliable leader publicly so others see it is about the process, not the person, and wants high numbers to mean good numbers.

Reasoning

Wrong numbers now propagate automatically to go-to-market and leadership; the board is an interface, not a status ritual.

Additional Context

Confirmed by Peter. Reinforcement of existing confidence-number standards.

Observed Evidence

I am trying really hard to train the rest of the organization that if these numbers are high, then these numbers are good.
